Capability

Online Booking

A booking path built for physical inventory, with dates, sizes, delivery address and add-ons captured in one pass rather than a seat-selection flow bent into shape.

How it works

The customer picks dates first, because for a rental the date range is the product. Sizes, quantities and add-ons are chosen against live availability for those exact dates, so the flow cannot offer a unit already committed.

Delivery address and time window are collected in the same pass. That address is what later builds the driver's run, so capturing it badly costs twice.

The 4.5% appears at checkout as a line the customer can see, and the customer pays it. You receive your list price.

Sell a tour beside the kayak, in one order
$68
Sunset paddle4.9 (212)

Two hours with a guide. Boards and vests included.

$52
Dolphin watch4.8 (486)

Ninety minutes on the sound. Under fives go free.

$45
Trail ride4.7 (158)

Guided, twelve miles, e-bikes available on request.

Capacity, guides and guest messaging run on the same record as the rental, so a kayak for the afternoon and a guided paddle for eight arrive in one basket.

Timed capacity beside physical stock. One checkout, one confirmation, one place the guest replies to.

What it removes

Customer mistakes at checkout, which turn into phone calls and then into refunds.

The number to watch is completed bookings per session, and the error rate behind the abandoned ones.

What it does not do

The booking path is not a website builder. It embeds into the site you have rather than replacing it, and visual customisation covers your branding rather than arbitrary layout.

Every capability page on this site carries a section like this one. Why that is.

What is online booking in rental software?

A booking path built for physical inventory, with dates, sizes, delivery address and add-ons captured in one pass rather than a seat-selection flow bent into shape.

Bodhisys handles it as part of the platform rather than as a paid module or a partner integration. There is no monthly fee. A 4.5% charge is added to each reservation and paid by your customer at checkout.

Questions

Does it work on the website we already have?

Yes. It embeds into your existing site rather than replacing it.

Who pays the 4.5%?

Your customer, as a line at checkout. You receive your list price and there is no monthly fee.

Can customers book multiple item types in one order?

Yes. Dates, sizes, quantities, delivery address and add-ons are captured in a single pass.
