Pricing
No monthly fee, no seat licences, no feature tiers and no paid modules. A small percentage is added to each reservation and paid by your customer at checkout.
NO MONTHLY FEE · 4.5% AT CHECKOUT · PAID BY YOUR CUSTOMER
A 4.5% charge is added to each reservation and paid by your customer at checkout, so you receive your list price and the platform costs nothing to run.
The consequence worth naming is that Bodhisys earns when you do. A quiet February costs you nothing, which is the opposite of how a subscription behaves for a seasonal operator.
That is the same idea the platform is built on, priced. Your season and ours move together, so there is no month where we are paid to be ignored.
On a $225 order the customer pays $235.13 at checkout and you receive $225. Across 260 reservations a month at that value the platform costs you nothing, and your customer has paid $2,632.50 in fees over the month.
The average order value above is a real one, taken from a working rental operation. Substitute your own, and switch the platform to see where the money goes on each one.
Guest pays$235.13
Payout$225.00
The fee is added at checkout and paid by your customer, so the payout is your list price.
Everything. Multi-location inventory, routing, delivery confirmation, waivers with licence and sobriety capture, seasonal pricing, online booking, guest messaging, cancellation protection, add-ons and returns are all part of the platform.
Adding a location costs nothing. Adding a member of staff costs nothing.
Nothing charged by Bodhisys for the platform. Card processing is billed by your payment processor at their published rate, and SMS volume beyond the included allowance is passed through at cost.
There is no implementation fee and no charge for migrating your data.
One thing does cost money on top, and it is optional. A hosted booking site is built, hosted and maintained by askotter as a separate engagement, scoped and quoted on its own. Most operators never take it, because the booking path embeds into the website they already have.
The platform gives you a booking path that drops into your existing website. That is what almost everybody uses, and it is included.
The alternative is that askotter builds and runs the whole site for you, with the booking path native to it rather than bolted into a theme somebody else maintains. Category pages, availability, delivery zones and rates read from the same records the operation runs on, so a rate change shows up publicly without anybody editing a page.
It sits outside the 4.5% and it is priced on scope. If a website you are already happy with is doing its job, keep it and take the embed.
Two hours with a guide. Boards and vests included.
Ninety minutes on the sound. Under fives go free.
Guided, twelve miles, e-bikes available on request.
Capacity, guides and guest messaging run on the same record as the rental, so a kayak for the afternoon and a guided paddle for eight arrive in one basket.
A platform advertising a 6% booking fee reaches about 9% all in once the roughly 3% card processing it bills you is counted, and about 11% where the checkout fee is 8%. Reseller commission, paid modules and seat licences go on top of that where they apply. The all-in effective take is the number worth comparing.
The calculator puts your own units, reservations, order value and margin against it.
6% of that is added to your guest's checkout. The other 3% is card processing, billed by the platform that runs the payments. With Bodhisys you keep your own processor and pay them directly, so the only rate beside our name is the one at checkout.
There is no monthly fee. A 4.5% charge is added to each reservation and paid by your customer at checkout. On a $225 reservation that is $10.13, paid by the customer, and you receive the full $225.
There are no feature tiers, seat licences, per-location fees, implementation fees or migration charges. Card processing is billed separately by your payment processor at their published rate.
No. The only charge is 4.5% added to each reservation and paid by your customer at checkout.
Your customer, as a visible line at checkout. You receive your list price.
No. There are no per-location fees and no seat licences.
Your payment processor bills it at their published rate, the same as it would be on any other platform.
No. With no monthly fee there is nothing to commit to; the charge exists only when a reservation does.
