Comparison
Three comparisons, each starting with where the alternative is stronger. A comparison page that cannot say that is an advertisement.
Start with the shape of your revenue. Where most of it comes from timed tours and seats, the incumbents were built for exactly that and this is a short evaluation. Where most of it comes from physical inventory going out to an address, keep reading.
Compare on cost properly. The headline rate is the part everybody publishes; reseller commission, paid modules and seat licences sit underneath it and hold most of the difference.
Then compare on the boring cases. A unit transferred between locations mid-season. A delivery disputed three days later. A return that needs a repair before it can go out again.
A platform advertising a 6% booking fee also bills you roughly 3% in card processing, because it runs the payments and sets that rate, which is about 9% all in. At 8% on the guest the same shape comes to about 11%. Reseller commission, paid modules and seat licences land on top of that where they apply.
Bodhisys adds 4.5% at checkout, paid by your customer, and bills nothing else. You keep your own processor and pay them directly at the rate you negotiated.
Put your own units, reservations and order value in and the difference comes out as a number.
6% of that is added to your guest's checkout. The other 3% is card processing, billed by the platform that runs the payments. With Bodhisys you keep your own processor and pay them directly, so the only rate beside our name is the one at checkout.
It depends on what leaves the building. FareHarbor and Peek Pro are strong where the product is a timed seat and rental inventory sits alongside it. Bodhisys is built for the opposite case, where the inventory is physical, gets delivered and has to come back.
Bike Rental Manager is a closer fit operationally and runs on a subscription, which changes the arithmetic at volume rather than at the margins. There is no monthly fee. A 4.5% charge is added to each reservation and paid by your customer at checkout.
