Delivery Vehicle Tracking for Heavy equipment rental companies

Delivery is the product. A machine moves on a trailer with its own weight class, its own route restrictions and its own driver, so the booking has to hold a float as well as a machine. Two units available and one truck free means one rental, and software that models only the machine will oversell the day.

Billing runs on the meter rather than the calendar. Day, week and month rates sit alongside engine hours, and a machine returned at 47 hours against an 8-hour day allowance is an invoice line rather than an argument. Fuel, delivery, environmental and damage waiver all land on the same order.

Service takes a machine off the board wherever it is standing. Hour-based intervals, annual inspections on lifts and hoists, and a fault reported from a site all have to hold a unit back until it is signed off. Condition photographs at drop and at collection are what settle a bent bucket that arrives back with nobody claiming it.

What the platform does here is narrow and specific. Live position for every delivery vehicle on the same screen as the run it was given, with idle, hard braking and speeding raised to the office while the morning is still running.

The problem it removes: finding out at four o'clock that a stop was skipped at nine. The number to watch is stops closed against stops planned while the van is still moving, and how many alerts the office acts on the same morning.

Tracker integration puts an OBD unit in the vehicle, around $20 to buy and about $70 a year to run, reporting position into Bodhisys rather than into a portal somebody has to keep open in a second tab. The van moves on the same map as the stops it was given.
